Our Services: Children

  • Pediatric Voice Therapy

Pediatric voice therapy is a holistic approach that aims to modify harmful or inefficient vocal habits (i.e., yelling, screaming) through guided play, games, and creative activities, promoting healthy phonation and healing after a child is diagnosed with a voice disorder.

  • Articulation Therapy

An articulation disorder is a speech sound disorder that makes it difficult for a child to pronounce certain speech sounds correctly.  Speech therapy uses the principle of motor learning to teach the correct production of speech sounds enhancing a child’s intelligibility.

  • Expressive-Receptive Language Therapy

Expressive-receptive language disorders are communication challenges that impact a child’s ability to communicate and comprehend spoken or written communication. Language therapy for children targets components such as vocabulary, grammar, and reading comprehension.

Fluency/Stuttering Therapy

Stuttering is a speech disorder characterized by repeated sounds, syllables, or words and can affect an individual’s confidence and fluency while speaking.  Speech therapy provides education about stuttering, promotes self-acceptance and self-advertising, and teaches fluency strategies to minimize tension while speaking.

Social Communication/ Pragmatic Language Therapy

Pragmatic language disorders involve difficulties in the social use of language.  Pragmatic language therapy teaches students to understand and apply conversational rules, to interpret non-verbal cues, and to adjust one’s communication style to fit varying social contexts.
