OUR SERVICES: ADULTS

  • Rehabilitative Voice Therapy

Voice therapy is a holistic approach that aims to modify harmful or inefficient voice production and rebalance the subsystems of voice (breath, phonation, resonance) to promote healthy vocalization and healing after an individual is diagnosed with a voice disorder.  A voice disorder is a condition that adversely affects the pitch, volume or quality of a person’s voice.  Common symptoms of a voice disorder can include a hoarse or breathy voice, voice fatigue, or difficulty projecting the voice.

  • Accent Modification Therapy

Accent modification therapy is a process through which non-native speakers can learn to adjust their speech patterns to improve clarity and intelligibility in their desired language.

  • Speech Therapy After Stroke and Traumatic Brain Injury

Speech therapy after stroke or TBI helps individuals improve their ability to communicate by using their remaining language abilities and compensating for lost abilities with the use of gestures, pictures, or augmentative and alternative communication devices.
